Ontology Press publishes books of almost all kinds that
are directly related to the being within men and women. If you have written
a manuscript or other work that is an expression of your being (realself),
we may be interested in publishing it. The work can be fiction, nonfiction,
a journal, a diary, a collection of letters, short stories, or essays.
The only two requirements are that the work clearly expresses realself
feelings and thoughts and is in an interesting and readable style. Almost
no one now is conscious of the existence of the being in men and women,
and so we are not looking for experts on the subject. Nor does the work
have to include an accurate understanding of the ontological feelings
it discusses. It merely has to express them with honesty and sincerity.
These feelings and thoughts cover the whole range of human existence,
and we are interested in all parts of it. Additionally, if you know of
a work that we might be interested in publishing, such as one of the works
described above by a relative or friend or a public domain book, please
contact us as well.
In either case, send us an e-mail (preferred) or letter
with as much of the following information as possible:
A one-page (500 words) cover letter summarizing the book and the author’s
background.
A table of contents, along with a chapter-by-chapter summary.
An excerpt of the work—10 pages or 5,000 words maximum.
The estimated manuscript length (pages or number of words) and completion
date, if the work is not yet finished.
The ownership and copyright status of the work, for works written
by another person or previously published.
We prefer to receive all initial material by e-mail. Please do not
include attachments with your e-mail.
If you mail your material to us, please send it as standard mail (without
any confirmation signature required) so that we do not have to stand
in line at the post office for it. If you include a stamped, self-addressed
postcard, we will mail it to you on receiving your material.
If you would like your material returned, include a stamped, self-addressed
envelope for it. Otherwise, we do not return material we receive. (But
again, we much prefer to receive all initial material by e-mail.)
Please do not send us an unsolicited manuscript.
