Before placing a PayPal order, see above for the shipping and total cost. Please include the total amount in your PayPal order.

PayPal purchases can be made in two ways:

• If you have an account with PayPal, click the Buy Now button below to place your order.
• Orders can also be placed with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover credit card without signing up for a PayPal account. If you do not have a PayPal account and want to pay by credit card, click the “If you do not currently have a PayPal acount Click Here” button on PayPal’s order page, after clicking the Buy Now button below.

We accept PayPal payments only from countries that are on PayPal’s list of approved countries.

Ontology Press ships by United States Postal Service’s Global Priority Mail to international destinations.

Global Priority Mail currently ships to 51 countries only. Please go to our GPM Countries page to see if Global Priority Mail is sent to your country and city.

• If your country is not on the list of GPM Countries, e-mail us at for shipping services and shipping costs.
• If you would like your book shipped by another service or carrier, e-mail us or call us at (530) 389-2737 for arrangements and total cost.
• Prepayment is required for all international orders.
• If you normally use a Post Office box, please also provide a street address.
• Books will be shipped within two days of clearance of payment. If for some reason we are unable to meet this deadline, we will notify you when the order will be shipped. (Almost all of our books are shipped within 24 hours.)
• The shipping time for GPM deliveries may be from 8 to 15 days. (Up to two days for Ontology Press to mail the book, up to two days for the book to reach a USPS Eagle network post office in the USA, up to 4 days for the book to reach the customer’s country by air, and then as many days as it takes for the book to be delivered within the customer’s country.)
• Mailing services, mailing rates, and shipping times for all countries are available through the United States Postal Service’s Index of Countries and Localities page.

All of our books, except for those that are autographed to individuals, are returnable for 75 days (from the shipping date) if you are not satisfied with them. The only conditions are that (1) the book was purchased directly from Ontology Press, (2) proof of purchase with purchase price is included with the returned book, and (3) the returned book is in salable condition, as determined by Ontology Press. We do not accept returns purchased from anyone other than Ontology Press. Books purchased from other vendors must be returned to them. All books must be returned postpaid. Please call or send an e-mail to before returning any book, so that we can make sure your returned book is handled correctly.

All prices, term, and conditions are subject to change without notice.

We include the following at not charge for all purchases of books in the Being and Life Series made by individuals directly from Ontology Press:

• A copy of our 28-page booklet. This booklet (5.5" x 8.5") contains several articles (350 to 850 words) based on ideas in the last three volumes in the Being and Life, miscellaneous postings on a variety of ontological subjects, and a copy of one of the draft pages of Being and Life.
• The autographing of books. If you would like your book autographed, e-mail us at or call us as soon as you place your credit card or PayPal order.
• Separate, consolidated indexes when volume 2 (for volumes 1 & 2) and volume 3 (for volumes 1-3) are published. Volume 4 will have a consolidated index.

Sorry, but the three other books in the Being and Life Series—Ontological Losses and Gains; Friendship, Sex, and Love; and Ontological Conflicts—are presently not available.
